Birthing Playlist

When I was pregnant, we did everything to prepare for the labor, which was planned to be a home birth.  One of the things I did was prepare a playlist of songs!  I used YouTube's playlist feature and during the early parts of labor we had it playing on our TV.  If you are birthing somewhere without a TV, you might want to use another service to store your list!  Any song that gives you the goosebumps is perfect for your list.  Those nipple perking songs will get the adrenaline and oxytocin flowing and make you feel badass - the perfect combo for bringing out your inner birthing goddess.  Here's what I had on my list!  Pearl Jam - Just Breathe ...

Five Breastfeeding Hacks

I've seen some cool tricks over the years!  Here's my favorites.  Camisole pumping top Want a cheap and easy pumping top?  Pair a plain camisole with a pull-down bra like the Busty Mama Bra. To pump, pull the armpit of the cami across the breast so the cami strap is between your breasts.  Then pull down your bra.  After positioning the pump flange, adjust the bra front and cami strap to hold it in place!  Thirst quencher  When you start breastfeeding, you're going to be thirsty.  My favorite hack uses a camelback tube.  Get yourself a tote with a lid, have your husband drill a hole into the lid, and stick the straw in.  Fill it with water, stick it on your nightstand,...
